Hey, I’m so happy you are here
i’m Anna, a maternity photographer in Berlin
A boy mama, traveler, lover of art, good food, campfires, boat rides, and real connection. After living in five different countries, I’m now raising my family just outside the city.
Imagine your child looking at your maternity photos years from now. What will they want to see? Not a perfect setting or a flowy dress — but you. The person you were before you became their mama. And you’ll want that memory too.
That’s why my maternity sessions aren’t about perfection — they’re about you. About this fleeting chapter before your baby arrives, captured the way you live it.
We’ll co-create the session so it feels honest and personal. I’ll bring my artistic vision and gentle guidance, but we’ll also draw inspiration from your ideas and your energy.
I shoot on film, which means everything slows down. There’s space to breathe, to feel the connection with your baby, to simply be. After your session, you’ll receive high-resolution scans in a beautiful online gallery, plus printed keepsakes — something real to hold onto.
I have three children myself, and I’ve photographed many women in this season — but every time, I’m in awe of what it means to grow a human inside you. You deserve to be celebrated.
And you deserve photographs that help you remember not just how you looked, but how it felt.

“The photos turned out beautifully — so natural, emotional, and full of warmth. They perfectly capture the feeling of this special moment. Thank you for these lasting memories!”

why film??
There’s something different about an analog photograph.
You can feel it — in the softness, the tones, the grain, the way it holds emotion. It captures not just how things looked, but how they felt — and in a season as rich and complex as pregnancy, that makes all the difference.
Working with film means going slow. There’s no rapid clicking, no flood of images. Just a few intentional frames that preserve something real: the way your hands rest on your belly, the light falling across your living room, the way you and your partner look at each other.
When you choose film, you’re choosing memory over trends. You’re choosing something lasting — images that feel like they belong in a box of treasures your child will open one day. Not perfect, but timeless and full of soul.
I photograph my own family only on film. And I approach your maternity session the same way — with curiosity, reverence, and care.
All my work is personal work.
Film photography is my love language.
If you're looking for maternity photography in Berlin that feels like memory, not just pictures — you’re in the right place.
sessions for memory keeping
After your session, you’ll receive a carefully curated online gallery with high-resolution scans of your film images — ready to download and share, just like digital photos.
But your memories deserve more than a screen. Each session also includes something to hold: instant photos for a touch of nostalgia, fine art prints to frame or gift, or a beautiful photo album — made to keep this fleeting chapter close.
the classic session
An intentional, collaborative session to capture your pregnancy
The Classic is a two-hour maternity photography session on analog film — thoughtful, relaxed, and tailored to you.
It’s designed to capture what matters most: your changing body, the quiet anticipation, your connection with your partner or older kids.
There’s time to settle in, to breathe, and to simply be. We’ll document a mix of natural, everyday moments and soft, intimate portraits — gently shaped by your energy and ideas. The result is a series of images that feel honest, nostalgic, and truly yours.
I know it can feel vulnerable to be photographed during pregnancy. You don’t need to feel “ready” or polished. We’ll go slow, and I’ll guide you with care — always tuned into what feels right for you.
You’ll receive:
– A curated gallery of analog maternity photographs
– A set of Polaroids
– Museum-quality fine art prints
€690
the day together
A slow family session to honour this chapter before everything changes
If you have older children, this longer session can be a beautiful way to preserve the little moments that make up your family life before your new baby arrives.
I’ll spend four to five hours with you, gently documenting your day at home. We might capture your child tracing your belly with their fingers, playing nearby while you rest, or snuggling in for a story. Your partner making lunch, the way you move through familiar routines — all the quiet details that will soon shift.
There’s also space for creative portraits of you and your growing belly, using different film cameras and the changing light throughout the day. And if you’d prefer to save this longer session for after the birth, we can combine it with a shorter maternity shoot beforehand.
You’ll receive:
– A curated gallery of analog family and maternity photographs
– A set of Polaroids
– A vintage-inspired fine art photo album with thick, lay-flat pages
€1300
When you reach out, I’ll send you my full session guide with all the details.
I also offer combined packages for newborn and maternity photography in Berlin — to help you preserve this season as a whole.
I want meaningful photography to be accessible to as many families as possible, so I offer flexible payment plans. Just reach out and we’ll find something that works.
your experience
-
Being photographed during pregnancy can feel both personal and vulnerable — that’s why I shape every session around you and your story. Just fill out the contact form, and I’ll send over my session guide with all the details within 72 hours. From there, we’ll talk about your wishes, find a time and book your date.
Maternity sessions usually take place between weeks 28 and 34 — but that’s not a rule. It depends on what you’d like to capture and how you're feeling. Some women prefer to book earlier, while others want to wait until the very end. I’m here to help you shape a vision for your session that feels just right.
-
Once your maternity session in Berlin is booked, I’ll guide you through the process with care and intention. You’ll receive a thoughtful questionnaire to help you reflect on what this season means to you — what you want to remember and celebrate.
From there, we’ll stay in touch via WhatsApp or phone, whichever feels easier. If you’d like help choosing outfits or exploring creative ideas, I’m happy to support you — not to style you, but to help you feel most like yourself.
This is a collaborative process. It’s not about staging something perfect — it’s about finding the most honest and beautiful way to tell your story.
-
The most meaningful images come when you have space to just be. That’s why my sessions are slow and unhurried — a gentle pause in the rush of life.
Think of me as a friend visiting with a camera in hand. Because I shoot on film, I take fewer photos — which means less clicking and more presence.
You don’t need to perform or pose. Whether you’re feeling radiant or a bit off that day, we’ll meet the moment as it is. I’ll guide you softly when it helps, and step back when it doesn’t. You can simply focus — with your baby, your partner, your older kids, and with yourself.
-
After our session, I send your film to a trusted lab in Berlin — a small team of true analog enthusiasts who develop and scan everything with great care (seriously, these guys are amazing). Once I receive the scans, I make small adjustments and curate your gallery with intention.
About four weeks after your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view and download your high-resolution images. A few weeks later, your Polaroids and printed keepsakes arrive — because this chapter deserves more than just a place on a screen.

“We had an amazing experience with Anna! The photos came out the way we wanted: just us in the moment. Absolutely recommend her work!”

FAQ
Curious about maternity photography in Berlin and what to expect from a session with me?
Here are some questions I often get.
-
My maternity sessions are not about following trends or ticking off standard poses. They’re about you — your story, your personality, your road to becoming a mother.
Before the session, we’ll talk about what matters to you: how you’re experiencing pregnancy, what you want to remember, and how you want to feel when you look back at these images. From there, we’ll co-create something honest and personal — a mix of documentary moments and intentional portraits shaped by your energy.
Whether you feel playful, introspective, powerful, vulnerable — or all of it at once — that’s what we’ll photograph.
-
That’s such a common feeling — and one I deeply understand, both as a photographer and a mother. Pregnancy is beautiful, but it can also be uncomfortable, strange, or even disconnected from how you usually see yourself.
That’s why we approach this gently. My sessions aren’t about idealizing your body — they’re about honouring it and the amazing work it is doing. We go slow, we talk, we tune in. I’ll guide you in ways that feel natural, never forced, and we’ll focus on what feels most like you. We are not trying to create a perfect picture, but to capture your experience: trust me, years from now these memories will be important to you.
-
My maternity sessions are about your whole family — not just your belly. I always take time to connect with your partner and older kids, so they feel seen and part of the story, not like extras in a “maternity shoot.” I create space for natural interaction and shared moments between all of you, with gentle direction only when it helps. This is your story together.
And if you are expecting as a single mom, it is an experience that is equally beautiful to document. Whatever your family looks like, you are warmly welcome here — and we will create pictures that celebrate your unique experience.
-
Most women book their maternity shoot between weeks 28 and 34 — when the belly is beautifully round, but you still feel comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the experience.
That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all. Some prefer earlier, especially if they’re expecting multiples or have older kids and want to have plenty of energy to interact with them. Others book later, to capture the final stretch. It really depends on how you want to remember this season.
If you’re unsure, just reach out — I’m happy to help you choose a time that feels right for your body, your energy, and your story.
-
For you, not much changes — you don’t need to do anything differently, and you’ll still receive your images as high-resolution digital files.
But the pace and feeling of the session are different. Shooting on film naturally slows things down. There’s less clicking, more intention — which often helps you feel more at ease, more grounded in the moment.
Because film needs a lot of light, we’ll plan our session at the time of day when your space looks its best — especially important on those grey Berlin winter days.
The technical side? That’s all on me. You can just arrive as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest.
In and Around Berlin

I’m based just outside Berlin and travel across the city — from Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain to Charlottenburg and Neukölln — for maternity photography sessions. I also travel to areas around Berlin, so just reach out and we’ll make a plan.
